The innovative framework includes a web-based mobile guide and numbered signages, allowing visitors to explore the foundry at their own pace while freeing up staff to provide better customer service.
This visitor-centered approach aims to convey the cultural values of traditional letterpressing and offers a seamless, interactive experience. By introducing a self-guided service, Rixing seeks to preserve its heritage while adapting to modern visitor expectations.
The self-guide system is accessible via a mobile web interface, eliminating the need for app installation. Visitors can scan a QR code to activate the service and enjoy a personalized tour, learning about artifacts, letterpress techniques, and more.
