Xiaomi's Mi Band 3 packaging design, created by the talented team led by Design Director Lu Chen, has been awarded the prestigious Silver A' Design Award in the Packaging Design category. The packaging design draws inspiration from the athletics track, using a simple figure of "3" as the visual centerpiece, surrounded by a dynamic pattern that conveys the energy and vibrancy of sports. The series features different versions in various colors, adding a distinctive touch to the packaging.
The Mi Band 3 is a low-profile product targeting the lower end of the sports headset market. The packaging design aims to add attractive elements and create an outstanding look on the shelves, while maintaining a uniform design across the series to draw attention from consumers and explore new possibilities for offline display.
The packaging, made of paper, is die-cut and folded to form the box, with dimensions measuring 108mm in height, 75mm in length, and 32mm in width. The design team, including packaging designer Jiangpeng Su and packaging structure designer Zhizhuang Song, successfully overcame the challenge of creating a visually appealing packaging for a low-profile product with a limited budget, delivering a warm and energetic feel to the product.
