Floral Stainless Steel Sculpture Illuminated with RGB Lights

KUO, KUO-HSIANG, a renowned designer from Taichung City, Taiwan, has unveiled a breathtaking public art sculpture titled "Flowers And Butterflies Are Dancing." The sculpture, inspired by the Formosa Lily, symbolizes openness, freedom, and the deep roots of Taiwan. Standing at W1400* D1100* H650 cm, the stainless steel artwork is a seamless interpretation of flowers and butterflies dancing in nature, reflecting the ever-changing sky, plants, and light.

The sculpture, made of acid-resistant stainless steel and illuminated with RGB lights, offers a strong reflection effect on light, weathering, and acid resistance, ensuring longevity. Its color changes with the seasons, creating a dynamic interaction with the surrounding environment. The installation, located at a major intersection in Taichung, invites visitors to engage with the sculpture from all angles, making it a popular attraction for photographers and tourists.

Despite technical and logistical challenges, including the assembly of 12 parts weighing 500-1000 kg each, the sculpture was successfully completed in October 2018. KUO, KUO-HSIANG's dedication to integrating human life, landscape environment, and space with public art has resulted in a masterpiece that embodies the spirit of creativity and craftsmanship. The "Flowers And Butterflies Are Dancing" sculpture was honored with the Iron A' Design Award in 2021, recognizing its practicality, innovation, and contribution to a better world.
