Art Installation Seamlessly Integrates Classic Rococo with Modern Symbolism

Fundesign.tv proudly presents "The Allegory," a captivating art installation at Taipei Big Dome Sports Park. Drawing inspiration from Italian artist Giovanni Battista Tiepolo, this public artwork seamlessly integrates classic Rococo with modern symbolism, creating a visually compelling narrative. The artwork comprises 37 panels forming the main dome fresco, 10 standalone angel figures, and 50 smaller flower-shaped cast iron plates, covering a total area of 129.96 square meters.

The artwork, a recipient of the Silver A' Design Award, is set to be publicly displayed this summer, symbolizing a harmonious integration within the surroundings. The design team, including artist Tomoko Nagao, Carrie Chang, SK Chen, and Clara Kao, overcame historical and technical challenges to create this iconic landmark, enriching the sports park with numerous baseball symbols, aligning with its role of hosting world-class baseball games.
