ZHEJIANG ZHONGGUANG ELECTRICAL CO.,LTD.'s Inno Air Louvre, an advanced outdoor air conditioning unit inspired by adjustable louvers, has been awarded the prestigious Golden A' Design Award 2025 for its human-centric, eco-friendly, and intelligent airflow management, developed in Ningbo, China, to enhance pedestrian comfort and equipment longevity.
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
The Inno Air Louvre, designed by ZHEJIANG ZHONGGUANG ELECTRICAL CO.,LTD., redefines outdoor air conditioning with its innovative louver-inspired design that automatically adjusts airflow to prioritize pedestrian comfort and environmental protection. Launched in Ningbo, China, in September 2024, this heat-pump outdoor unit features individually rotating and closing blades that sense and respond to the presence of passersby, redirecting or blocking air to prevent discomfort from direct hot or cold drafts. When not in operation, the louvers close to shield the unit from dust and rain, significantly extending its lifespan.
Setting itself apart from conventional outdoor units, the Inno Air Louvre incorporates advanced materials and intelligent sensing technology. Its heat exchanger fins are crafted from graphene, offering superior corrosion resistance, durability, and heat exchange efficiency, while the fan blades are made from eco-friendly bamboo, providing natural temperature regulation, sound absorption, and a visually appealing aesthetic. The unit supports wide-angle airflow, customizable options, and even contributes to indoor air freshness, making it a versatile solution for modern environments.
This award-winning design emerged from comprehensive research into market pain points, particularly the discomfort caused by fixed-direction airflow in traditional units. The development team, led by Menglin Xie, Jinghong Zhang, Yuhui Xu, Yuxin He, Haiping Hou, and Xiaojun Yuan, overcame significant technical challenges to balance effective wind-blocking, optimal air output, and long-term durability. The result is a product that not only advances HVAC technology but also demonstrates a commitment to humanistic care and environmental responsibility, earning the Golden A' Design Award for its outstanding contribution to the field.
