FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
H2gO, designed by Xunxing Liang in Brooklyn, has received the prestigious Bronze A' Packaging Design Award 2025, recognizing its inventive approach to portable oral care. The project, completed between August and December 2024, addresses the environmental and practical limitations of traditional mouthwash by introducing a refillable, travel-friendly solution that prioritizes both sustainability and user engagement.
Inspired by the shortcomings of liquid mouthwash and existing portable alternatives, H2gO stands out with its durable stainless steel construction, reducing single-use plastic waste. The cylindrical package features a dual-slot dispensing system for controlled use and easy refilling, complemented by a collapsible silicone cup that fits seamlessly into the design. The press-to-open clasp not only ensures secure storage but also adds a playful, interactive element for modern users on the go.
Realized through precision metal stamping, CNC machining, and electroplating, H2gO's sleek finish is both functional and visually appealing. The collapsible cup, made from flexible silicone, ensures convenience and durability, while the dual-slot mechanism was perfected through iterative 3D-printed prototypes. Extensive research and user feedback informed the design, overcoming challenges in balancing compactness, sustainability, and ease of use. H2gO's recognition by the A' Design Award highlights its contribution to quality of life improvements and its innovative blend of art, science, and technology.
