Celebrating Rajasthan's Regal Heritage Through Award-Winning Liqueur Packaging Design

Maharani Mahansar Vintage Edition Shahi Gulab, designed by Dheeraj Bangur in Jaipur, has been awarded the Golden A' Packaging Design Award 2025, one of the highest honors in the field. The packaging draws inspiration from the lush rose farms of Pushkar and the grandeur of Rajasthan's royal lineage, blending a vintage shield motif with a sophisticated palette of black, red, and gold. This design not only pays homage to the region's cultural legacy but also elevates the experience of luxury liqueur through meticulous craftsmanship and attention to detail.

The unique packaging features thick textured paper, embossing, gold foiling, and UV printing, resulting in a refined and durable finish. The bottle, presented in a vintage style, contains a liqueur crafted with the essence of fresh Rosa Damascena, one of the world's most precious rose varieties. The design ensures both elegance and usability, with a secure plastic tearable strip and an easy-to-open cap, making it as functional as it is visually striking. The box, constructed from matte thick sheets, further enhances the premium feel and protects the product.

This project, completed between January and March 2024 in Jaipur, involved extensive research into Rajasthani motifs, architectural details, and traditional craftsmanship. Overcoming challenges in sourcing materials and aligning production techniques, the design team achieved a harmonious blend of heritage and contemporary appeal. The result is a packaging solution that resonates with connoisseurs and collectors, embodying the spirit of Rajasthan while setting a new standard in luxury liqueur presentation. The Golden A' Design Award recognizes this achievement as a significant contribution to the advancement of packaging design worldwide.
