At the 2020 China Beauty Expo in Shanghai, designer Wai Ho Cheung introduced a striking dual-brand booth for Mannay and its newly launched brand, Luckinfo. The design was conceived to reflect Mannay's reputation as a leader in professional, technologically advanced skincare manufacturing, while simultaneously capturing the playful, energetic spirit of Luckinfo. By thoughtfully integrating both brands' philosophies and production processes, the booth offered visitors a comprehensive and immersive experience.
The booth's central island, characterized by a distinctive box design, divided the space into two distinct yet interconnected sections. On one side, Mannay's area highlighted self-developed raw materials and showcased the company's expertise in original design manufacturing (ODM) with displays of innovative ingredients and production methods. On the other, Luckinfo's section burst with vibrant colors, neon lights, and interactive installations, including giant product models and conveyor belts, designed to attract and engage younger consumers. Creative promotional strategies, such as the presence of male models and dynamic product presentations, further enhanced the lively atmosphere and drew significant attention from expo attendees.
Functionality and visitor experience were at the heart of the design, with clearly defined reception, display, and discussion zones arranged for smooth flow and comfort. The booth's layout encouraged natural interaction, allowing clients to explore products while conversing with staff in a welcoming environment. Extensive research and multiple design revisions ensured that the booth achieved a strong visual impact, balanced transparency, and a harmonious integration of both brands. The result was a booth that not only met the technical and aesthetic demands of a world-class expo but also earned the Iron A' Design Award for its innovative approach to trade show architecture and exhibit design.
