Wu Yao's "Mountain Sea Rare Treasure" is a premium nut gift box that reimagines luxury gifting through a blend of global inspiration and traditional Chinese aesthetics. The design draws on the concept of traveling with the brand's iconic Three Squirrels, presenting eight jars of high-quality nuts sourced from different regions around the world. Each jar is adorned with unique illustrations that merge the brand's playful IP with the landscapes and cultural motifs of the nuts' origins, all housed in a suitcase-inspired box that evokes the spirit of adventure and discovery.

The gift box stands out with its striking palette of red, blue, and gold, and features intricate illustrations rendered in traditional Chinese brushwork, seamlessly integrating mountainous and oceanic scenes. The packaging is crafted from sturdy cardboard wrapped in synthetic leather, with gold-plated metal feet and embossed hot-stamped details for a refined, tactile experience. The box opens from the side with a metal locking mechanism, revealing the neatly arranged nut jars inside, while a leather handle ensures portability and convenience for the user.

Developed in Beijing from November 2023 to January 2024 and set for official release in September 2024, "Mountain Sea Rare Treasure" exemplifies a new standard in premium packaging. The project not only addresses the demand for high-end gifting among discerning consumers but also elevates the unboxing experience through storytelling and artistic expression. By uniting global flavors with Chinese cultural elements, Wu Yao and his team have created a gift box that delights both the palate and the imagination, earning acclaim from the A' Design Award jury for its technical excellence and creative vision.
