Inspired by the interplay of gravity and visual art, Serena creates the mesmerizing effect of water droplets flowing backwards, captivating users and challenging conventional perceptions of physical phenomena. This unique product has been honored with the Bronze A' Design Award in 2025, recognizing its ingenuity and contribution to both design and quality of life.

The core of Serena's innovation lies in its use of visual persistence technology. By synchronizing precise water flow control with stroboscopic LED lighting, the humidifier produces a striking anti-gravity illusion, transforming a simple household device into an interactive art piece. Users can easily adjust the humidification settings and visual effects via a touch screen or smart control panel, customizing the speed and brightness of the liquid's movement to suit their environment and mood. The transparent shell, crafted with advanced molding techniques, enhances the illusion by allowing delicate light transmittance, making Serena a standout decorative element in any modern home.

Developed between May and June 2022 in Shenyang, China, Serena's creation involved overcoming significant technical challenges, including the precise synchronization of water pumps and LED lights to maintain the illusion's integrity while ensuring effective humidification. The design research focused on integrating visual art with practical home solutions, resulting in a product that not only meets functional needs but also sparks curiosity and delight. The Serena humidifier stands as a testament to the power of interdisciplinary design, offering both aesthetic pleasure and improved air quality for contemporary living spaces.
