Celebrating the Award-Winning Visual Identity of the Fun Community Public Art Project in Shenzhen

The "Fun Community Project" visual design, crafted by renowned designer Meng Shenhui, has been awarded Silver at the 2025 A' Graphics, Illustration and Visual Communication Design Awards. Developed for the 2024 Shenzhen Design Week's Qiaocheng Fang branch venue, the project's visual identity stands out for its innovative use of abstract graphics, lively fonts, and rich gradient colors. These elements collectively express the dynamic possibilities of public art, encouraging community engagement and fostering a joyful, trendy atmosphere.

Launched in Shenzhen between February and April 2024, the project's visual system was inspired by the six public art installations featured during the event. The design leverages playful typography and vibrant color palettes to create a strong visual impact, making the event instantly recognizable and inviting for the public. The visuals were applied across a wide range of materials, including billboards, books, balloon films, clothing, hats, and keychains, enhancing both the event's visibility and interactivity.

One of the project's key strengths lies in its ability to forge an emotional connection with the community. By integrating art into everyday spaces and encouraging participation through photography and sharing, the design not only boosts brand recognition but also deepens the sense of belonging among attendees. The project's success at the A' Design Awards highlights its excellence in artistic communication, technical execution, and its positive impact on community development through art.
