The Haidongqing gas detection drone, designed by Mingxi Li and a multidisciplinary team at LuXun Academy of Fine Arts in Shenyang, China, has been awarded the Bronze A' Futuristic Design Award for 2025. Inspired by the swift and agile posture of eagles, the drone's aerodynamic form and speed-focused lines reflect its mission to revolutionize gas inspection in the petrochemical industry and beyond. The project ran from May to June 2022, culminating in a product that stands out for its blend of aesthetics and functionality.

This innovative UAV features a modular structure, integrating advanced gas sensors and a real-time data transmission system for immediate environmental feedback. Its rugged carbon fiber composite body, produced using cutting-edge 3D printing and CNC machining, ensures durability and lightness, allowing the drone to operate reliably in harsh and complex terrains. The intuitive interface and intelligent control system enable both professionals and emergency responders to deploy the drone quickly, providing accurate gas detection and rapid data analysis to support critical decision-making in industrial and rescue scenarios.
