Hsin Lee's "The Legacy of the Art Tree" stands as a remarkable testament to the enduring relationship between architecture, nature, and human emotion. Drawing inspiration from the ancient trees that guard Taiwan's historic buildings, Lee's wall-hanging artwork captures the deep-rooted connection between place and memory. The piece, completed in June 2024 and installed at the Yongji construction site in Taipei's Xinyi District, has garnered international acclaim, earning the coveted Golden A' Fine Arts and Art Installation Design Award for 2025.

This artwork distinguishes itself through its masterful blend of classical French luxury jewelry aesthetics and contemporary design thinking. The tree's crown is meticulously crafted using ancient diamond pavé techniques, featuring thirty different sizes of sparkling rhinestones that evoke the eternal vitality and wisdom of the tree. The trunk, adorned with 24K gold leaf using century-old Japanese craftsmanship, radiates a treasure-like brilliance, while the hidden woodworking joinery of the outer frame underscores the piece's architectural sophistication. The materials-ranging from white and green rhinestones to Taiwanese cypress and anodized titanium-underscore a commitment to both tradition and innovation.

Measuring 150cm in length, 10cm in width, and 110cm in height, "The Legacy of the Art Tree" is designed to transform its environment. As natural light streams through floor-to-ceiling windows, the diamond-studded tree interacts with its surroundings, casting intricate patterns of light and shadow that shift throughout the day. This dynamic interplay invites viewers to reflect on the infinite value of craftsmanship and the poetic dialogue between past and present. The creative process presented significant technical challenges, including the precise setting of rhinestones ranging from 90mm to 0.8mm and the crafting of 201 leaves in four distinct sizes, all of which were overcome through Lee's dedication to excellence.

Through this work, Hsin Lee not only honors the symbolism of ancient trees and the spirit of ancestral heritage but also advances the art of jewelry and installation design.
