Menghao Zeng introduces "Prominent Chicheng" jewelry packaging, drawing inspiration from Chinese bronze culture and the concept of "Rust Aesthetics." The collection symbolizes Eastern wisdom of bravery, exploration, and loyalty, serving as tokens for both collection and social adornment.
Featuring an "Eastern Mechanical Aesthetics" design, the packaging merges wood, paper, leather, fabric, and alloy materials, embodying courage, exploration, and loyalty. The cover showcases an intaglio-printed "Tiger Token," historically awarded by Chinese emperors, representing courage and protection.
Implemented through laser engraving and traditional Chinese "mortise and tenon" design, the packaging emphasizes elegance, security, and efficient storage. With dimensions of 165mm x 133mm x 60mm, it aligns with core principles, emphasizing "daily use" to harness time's power.
Our design improves unboxing with integrated product labels and convenient handles, offering cost-effective and versatile solutions, including a packaging chain doubling as a jewelry necklace. It includes a comprehensive materials package featuring a genuine leather storage bag, eco-friendly coaster, and multifunctional stand for various user needs.
The project started in July 2023 in Shenzhen and was completed in December 2023, also in Shenzhen. The brand introduces the concept of "Rust Aesthetics," emphasizing the unique beauty that emerges between objects and materials after experiencing the passage of time and oxidation.
Challenges overcome include pioneering packaging aesthetics and methodologies, innovative packaging materials and structural design, and universal consideration of both keepsakes and jewelry. The design reflects Eastern wisdom, challenges traditional aesthetics, and fosters positivity through eco-friendly materials and modular design.
